Jason Miyares Sets Another Virginia Republican Attorney General Fundraising Record
VIRGINIA BEACH -- The Miyares for Virginia Campaign is proud to announce another record-breaking finance period. During the Summer reporting period, the Miyares campaign raised $707,000 and has over $1,000,000 cash on hand. Miyares’ Summer fundraising totals set a new record high for the amount of money raised by the Republican Nominee for Attorney General.
Meanwhile, Mark Herring’s failing campaign had to call in all sorts of favors this fundraising period. He had to be saved by national liberal organizations like the Democrat Attorney Generals Association and radical unions because he doesn’t have enough support from Virginians. When you look at just straight contributions - no outside money - Herring only raised $610,055, in comparison to Miyares’ $670,000. He also took a fat check from Ralph Northam, the Governor he called on to resign because of his blackface scandal, showing just how desperate and hypocritical his campaign really is.
“Since becoming the nominee, our campaign has broken every Virginia Republican Attorney General fundraising record thus far, which is proof of the momentum and energy we have. After eight long years of Mark Herring putting politics ahead of public safety, Virginians are ready for change - and this fundraising total shows that we are well on our way. We have the resources to communicate Jason’s message with the voters and are looking forward to the next two months” said Miyares Campaign Manager Klarke Kilgore.
