VIRGINIA BEACH --- Former prosecutor, Delegate, and Republican Nominee for Attorney General Jason Miyares today announced an endorsement from the Fraternal Order of Police of Virginia (FOP). Over 6,600 members of law enforcement are represented by the Fraternal Order of Police of Virginia.

“I am incredibly proud and honored to have the support of the Fraternal Order of Police and look forward to working with them and all law enforcement as Attorney General to make our communities safe and secure,” said Jason Miyares. “Right now, Virginia needs our brave men and women in law enforcement more than ever. Our murder rate is at a two-decade high, and our Parole Board has continually released the worst criminals back onto our streets, without notifying the victims. Mark Herring has done absolutely nothing for law enforcement - he supports making it easier for officers to be sued, lose all their life savings, and stands beside those that call to defund to police.”

“The Fraternal Order of Police of Virginia is proud to endorse Jason Miyares for Attorney General of Virginia. As a former prosecutor, he is the only candidate for Attorney General that law enforcement can trust to have their back. His commitment to keeping Virginians safe, dedication to putting victims before criminals, and putting public safety before politics is exactly what Virginia needs. Miyares understands the importance of having strong law enforcement across the Commonwealth and will work with us to make a safe and secure Virginia.” said Virginia Fraternal Order of Police President, John Ohrnberger.

Jason Miyares is also endorsed by the Virginia Police Benevolent Association and many Sheriffs across the Commonwealth.
